AMD’s latest RDNA 4 GPUs are making waves, topping the sales charts on one of North America’s leading retail platforms, with many models from the RX 9070 series making it to the top 10 list.
Surging Popularity of AMD RDNA 4 GPUs: XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC Leading the Charge
Just a short while after the official release of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPU lineup, consumer demand has skyrocketed. AMD had assured its customer base of ample availability for the RX 9070 series, yet many regions experienced GPUs selling out within moments of their release. Nevertheless, several areas still boast a solid supply of these sought-after components.
With both the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 currently available, it’s no surprise that sales are soaring, particularly given their superior accessibility compared to other contemporary offerings. The latest update to Amazon’s GPU bestsellers list reveals the XFX Mercury Radeon RX 9070 XT OC occupies the coveted number one spot.
Interestingly, it is uncommon for newly released GPUs to list prominently on Amazon, especially amid ongoing industry-wide shortages. Despite this challenge, the RX 9070 XT not only claims the top position but has also secured multiple spots within the top 10 and top 20 rankings.
The RX 9070 series is proving to be a powerhouse, with six models positioned within the top 10 and approximately nine within the top 20 best-selling GPUs. Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 9070 is keeping pace; although it is slightly slower and just a $50 difference lower in price, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC ranks fourth. It is closely followed by the XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 OC at 11th and the ASUS RX 9070 OC at 22nd.
In addition to the RX 9070 series’ impressive performance on Amazon, previous-generation RX 7000 series GPUs are also holding strong in the top 10 and top 20 listings, leaving limited space for NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and RTX 3060 models. Regrettably, the recently launched RTX 50 GPUs feature minimally in Amazon’s top 50 best-selling lists, largely due to their subpar availability and exorbitant pricing.
The next week will be crucial in determining the RX 9070 series’ sustained market performance, as we await a clearer picture once supply channels stabilize.
