Recent filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) have revealed details about AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT, indicating configurations with 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM. This development suggests AMD is positioning itself to compete directly with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.
AMD’s RX 9060 XT Set to Compete with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti: Launch Anticipated in Q2 2025
The race within the mainstream GPU market is heating up, especially following AMD’s recent introduction of the RX 9070 series, which has shifted the competitive landscape in favor of Team Red. However, specifics regarding the more budget-friendly RX 9060 lineup remain scarce. Although AMD has confirmed the launch timeframe, further information is limited. Recent EEC listings, shared by noted leaker @harukaze5719, highlight the Radeon RX 9060 XT’s availability in both 8 GB and 16 GB VRAM options—a notable strategy aimed at appealing to a wider audience.
Based on the EEC documentation, the RX 9060 XT is tailored to compete with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 series. The availability of two distinct VRAM configurations further supports the anticipation that the RX 9060 XT will be comparable to the RTX 5060 Ti, which is also expected to offer configurations with 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM.

While it might be premature to claim that AMD is merely mirroring NVIDIA’s approach, there is certainly an influence at play. The listings indicate not only the Radeon RX 9060 XT but also mention the Acer Predator Bifrost variant, suggesting a targeted strategy that echoes features seen in the RX 9070 series.
Although comprehensive details about the RX 9060 series have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that these GPUs will utilize the Navi 44 architecture, geared towards budget-conscious consumers. Depending on AMD’s marketing strategy, the maximum VRAM could extend to 16 GB. Currently, the expectation is set on two models paralleling the RX 9070 offerings.
AMD has earmarked Q2 2025 for the official release of the RX 9060 series, likely coinciding with NVIDIA’s competitive 60-class launch, possibly in April.
