AMD has unveiled its latest major software update, integrating the recently launched RDNA 4 GPU into its database and expanding the lineup of games that support FSR 4 technology.
Unlocking Potential: Radeon RX 9060 XT Now Fully Supported in Adrenalin Edition Software
In a significant move, AMD has rolled out the Adrenalin Software version 25.6.1, which includes comprehensive support for the new Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU. This graphics powerhouse, launched just yesterday, enhances compatibility and user control within the RX 9070 series. Furthermore, the update extends support to the Radeon AI Pro R9700, a workstation GPU engineered on the RDNA 4 architecture and featuring a robust 32 GB of GDDR6 memory.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT, based on the NAVI 44 architecture, is available in both 8 GB and 16 GB configurations. While this latest software version aims to optimize compatibility, AMD has identified some known issues in the release notes. Among these are sporadic crashes observed in high-demand titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with Ray Tracing enabled and The Last of Us Part 1. However, the Adrenalin driver now boasts full compatibility with the remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.

Alongside bug fixes, the latest update notably expands the roster of games that utilize AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4).With the addition of 14 new titles, the total number of games supporting FSR 4 ascends to over 55. Upcoming updates are set to introduce 10 additional titles, which include Crimson Desert, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Mecha Break. Here are the new games added in this update:
- Deadzone: Rogue
- F1 25
- Frostpunk 2
- Legacy: Steel & Sorcery
- Lords of the Fallen
- Planetaries
- WHEN
- Rem Survival
- Runescape: Dragonwilds
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Steel Seed
- Stellar Blade
- Virtua Fighter 5 REVO
- Wild Assault
Although the current list of FSR 4-supported games is still smaller compared to NVIDIA’s offering of over 125 games utilizing DLSS 4 technology, AMD is steadily closing the gap. It’s important to note that FSR 4 is exclusive to RDNA 4 GPUs, meaning that only owners of the RX 9070 series and RX 9060 XT will be able to access this cutting-edge upscaling technique across supported titles.
