AMD recently released its Q3 2025 financial results, announcing a remarkable revenue milestone of $9.2 billion. This reflects a significant 36% increase year-over-year and a 20% rise compared to the previous quarter. With a keen focus on innovation, AMD revealed that its cutting-edge 2nm EPYC Venice “Zen 6″CPUs and Instinct MI400 GPUs are poised for launch in 2026.

AMD Reports Q3 2025 Earnings: 36% Revenue Growth and Exciting New Products on the Horizon

In its Q3 earnings announcement, AMD broke down revenues by market segments, highlighting significant growth in various sectors:

  • Data Center Segment: Revenue increased to $4.3 billion from $3.5 billion, marking a 22% year-over-year rise.
  • Client & Gaming Segment: This segment saw an impressive jump to $4.0 billion from $2.3 billion, illustrating a 73% increase year-on-year.
  • Embedded Segment: Revenue slightly dipped to $857 million from $927 million, reflecting an 8% year-over-year decrease.

During the earnings call, CEO Dr. Lisa Su emphasized the advancements of the upcoming EPYC Venice CPUs, which are being manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 2nm process technology. She stated that these processors, which utilize the Zen 6 architecture, are well into lab testing and performing impressively compared to the existing Zen 5 Turin models. Additionally, it’s noteworthy that multiple cloud OEM partners have initiated early deployment of the Venice platforms.

On the artificial intelligence front, Dr. Su indicated that the Helios rack scale solutions, featuring the MI400 AI accelerators alongside the Venice CPUs, are gaining traction ahead of their launch next year. The MI400 series promises a remarkable computational output of up to 40 PFLOPs, complemented by 432 GB of HBM4 memory operating at a staggering 19.6 TB/s, positioning AMD as a formidable competitor to NVIDIA’s offerings.

AMD has already secured contracts for the MI400 series with major players including Oracle and the U. S.Department of Energy. These partnerships indicate a robust pipeline for MI450 and MI430X accelerators, with OpenAI also confirming plans to acquire a significant number of AMD GPUs for their ongoing projects.

Collaborations Highlight AMD’s Growing Influence in AI Development

“Oracle announced they will also be a lead launch partner for the MI450 Series, deploying tens of thousands of MI450 GPUs across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure beginning in 2026 and expanding through 2027 and beyond.”

Turning to the client market, AMD’s Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs have achieved record sales, driven by their competitive performance and efficiency. Anticipating a strong presence in the market, the company plans a soft refresh of its high-performing 3D V-Cache CPUs around the upcoming CES, with Zen 6-based Ryzen models expected later in 2026.

The Radeon RX 9000 GPUs, based on the RDNA 4 architecture, have gained traction and are nearing MSRP pricing, which is expected to bolster gaming revenue in the upcoming quarter.
