AMD has demonstrated consistent growth in x86 market share, achieving record highs in all three segments: server, desktop, and mobile. This achievement is substantiated by the latest Mercury Research findings which categorize AMD’s impressive metrics.

AMD’s Server Performance

In the server space, AMD’s unit share ascended to 25.1%, and the revenue share reached 35.5%.This represents an increase of 0.9 and 2.0 percentage points from the prior quarter, along with a substantial 1.6 and 3.7 point year-over-year gain. The surge in EPYC server sales, particularly of the Genoa and Bergamo models, has significantly contributed to this success.

Mobile CPU Developments

AMD also made notable advancements in the mobile CPU market, capturing a 23.7% unit share and a 21.6% revenue share, marking increases of 1.4 and 3.4 points quarter over quarter, as well as 2.4 and 6.5 points year-over-year. The introduction of Strix AI and the refreshed offerings have been pivotal in driving shipments and bolstering AMD’s momentum in this segment.
