AMD Unveils New Beta Display Driver for Windows 11 and 10
Today, AMD has announced the release of a beta display driver for Windows 11 and Windows 10 systems, designated version 25.3.2. As this update is in beta, it has not received Microsoft’s WHQL certification. One of the key improvements in this driver addresses a significant issue associated with Windows Update, which had previously caused older drivers to overwrite newer ones.
Addressing GPU Generational Bugs
This problem affected various generations of AMD GPUs, but the company has confirmed that the bug has been resolved for its latest RX 9000 series graphics cards, indicating progress in their software development. AMD aims to extend this fix to earlier generations of their GPU lineup in future updates.
Support for New Gaming Titles
The new driver also expands support for popular game titles. Notably, it now offers compatibility with:
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
Additionally, the driver resolves various bugs enhancing overall gaming performance. Key fixes include:
- Issues with MSAA on Counter-Strike 2
- Crashes when using Alt-Tab during gameplay
- Multi-monitor display problems, among others
