Amazon Europe Lists PlayStation 5 Digital Edition CFI-2100 Revision

Amazon Europe Lists PlayStation 5 Digital Edition CFI-2100 Revision

Upcoming PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Revision Confirmed

Recent reports confirm the anticipated launch of a revised PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, featuring a smaller SSD than currently available models. This new hardware revision is expected to debut imminently in Europe, based on the latest insights.

Details of the CFI-2100 Revision

The newly identified CFI-2100 model is essentially a replica of the existing Digital Edition, but it comes equipped with an 825 GB SSD, a shift from the standard 1 TB drive. Listings for this new version have appeared on Amazon Italy, Amazon France, and Amazon Germany. Although stock is currently unavailable on Amazon France, interested buyers can still order it from Italy and Germany, with expected delivery timelines ranging from late October in Germany to between November 11 and March 31, 2026, in Italy.

Insight into Production Changes

This development follows a leak from a trustworthy source earlier this month, indicating that the CFI-2100 revision would be rolling out in Europe soon. Interestingly, preliminary awareness of this revision emerged several months prior when certification documents surfaced in Japan. These documents pointed out that the latest model was designed to enhance production efficiency, largely by incorporating a smaller SSD capacity compared to all previous PS5 Digital Editions. Given that the CFI-2100 is priced comparably to the older 1 TB versions, prospective buyers might find it worthwhile to consider purchasing the original models while they remain available.

New Firmware Updates Enhancing User Experience

In addition to the hardware update, Sony is also committed to enhancing the gaming experience through ongoing firmware improvements. A fresh update is now rolling out, introducing features like the new DualSense pairing option, which allows users to connect their controllers to multiple devices simultaneously, alongside a new Power Saver mode aimed at energy efficiency.
