“Almost had me there!” – Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian admits nearly falling for MrBeast’s ‘quitting YouTube’ April Fools’ prank
Alexis Ohanian, husband of Serena Williams, confessed to almost falling for Mr. Beast’s April Fools’ prank about quitting YouTube.
MrBeast is the online moniker of James Donaldson, a well-known American YouTuber who manages the most subscribed individual channel and the second-highest subscribed channel on YouTube. He has amassed over 248 million subscribers and leads a team of more than 250 individuals.
Donaldson is known for his extravagant videos that often showcase common people taking on fun and challenging tasks in luxurious settings. The winners of these tasks are typically rewarded with lavish prizes, including mansions, large sums of money, and even private jets.
Besides his career as a YouTuber and entrepreneur, Jimmy, affectionately known by his followers, is also a well-known figure on social media and a generous philanthropist. In celebration of April Fools’ Day, Donaldson, like many others, chose to play a prank on his fans.
The American YouTuber announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he would be leaving YouTube.
“I’m quitting YouTube,”MrBeast’s tweet.
This tweet from the American initially caused a huge shock among his fans, but they soon realized that it was just an April Fools’ prank. Among those who nearly fell for the prank was Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, who is a big fan of the YouTuber.
“Not gonna lie, you almost had me there!,”Ohanian tweeted.
Serena Williams Praises Danielle Collins for Dominant Performance at Miami Open
During the men’s semifinal matches of Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev, and Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev, Serena Williams made an appearance at the Miami Open.
In addition, the 23-time Major champion used Instagram to extend her congratulations to Danielle Collins, the Miami Open champion in women’s singles. She left a comment on Collins’ post following the competition.
“So happy love this and you,”Serena Williams wrote.
It should be highlighted that the 42-year-old holds the record for being the most successful player (across all categories) in the tournament’s history, having won the title a remarkable eight times.
Serena achieved her first three titles in consecutive years, starting with 2002 and continuing through 2004. In those years, she defeated Jennifer Capriati in the first two finals and Elena Dementieva in the final match of 2004. Following that, she went on to win two more consecutive titles in 2007 and 2008, beating Justine Henin and Jelena Jankovic in the finals, respectively.
From 2013 to 2015, Williams continued her streak of three consecutive victories as she defeated Maria Sharapova, Li Na, and Carla Suarez Navarro in each of her finals.
