“Alleged Teenage Victim Unveils Perpetrators in Jessi Photo Request Controversy — Claims Connection to Korean Gang”

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Insight News reported a concerning incident involving South Korean soloist and rapper Jessi, where an alleged assault on a teenage boy took place. The teenager reportedly requested a photo with Jessi when an individual accompanying her allegedly struck him multiple times.

According to the reports, the young victim identified the assailant as producer Koala, who has a long-standing professional relationship with Jessi. In contrast, the artist denied any knowledge of such a person within her team. During an appearance on JTBC’s Crime Thief, the victim, along with his mother, accused Jessi of dishonesty, claiming that the attacker was indeed one of her close associates.

Insight News shared that the victim recounted to JTBC that he was punched by the producer and subjected to further hits to his head.

“Initially, when Koala approached me, he hit me in the stomach twice and continued to butt me with his head. Despite my attempts to evade him, he persisted,”the young individual stated.

The teenager went on to describe the assailant’s demeanor as “unusual,”suggesting that he appeared to be involved with a Korean gang known as KOS, which operates in the suburbs of Orange County.

“He initially struck me twice in the stomach and kept pushing me with his head despite my evasion. I heard him reference a gang while with his friends, and his movements appeared off. Afterward, I researched him and discovered he seemed to have connections with a Korean gang.”(translated by Koreaboo)

Jessi Issues Apology Ten Days Following the Incident

In the days following the incident, the rapper known for her song “Cold Blooded”shared an apology on her Instagram account in Korean. As translated by Google Translate, she explained that while she was out with close companions, a fan approached her for a photograph. Although she declined his request politely, a member of her group ended up assaulting the fan.

Jessi clarified that she encountered this individual for the first time that evening, asserting that he was not someone she knew.

“I sincerely apologize for the alarm caused to many individuals by the recent news regarding the assault incident involving myself. Recently, while I was in a private gathering with Jiyeon, the victim asked to take a photo with me. Since it was late, I kindly refused him twice, and at that moment, someone nearby whom I had just met that night unexpectedly assaulted him.”

She added that following the occurrence, she has reached out to the alleged victim and his mother to offer proper compensation and ascertain the identity of the perpetrator. Jessi urged the public not to spread “one-sided accusations or rely on speculation.”

“Since the incident, my agency and I have been in dialogue with the victim’s mother to swiftly locate the assailant and ensure they receive an apology and compensation. We are committed to ensuring that appropriate disciplinary measures are taken against the perpetrator. Regarding this matter, I respectfully request that reports refrain from being based solely on one-sided remarks or conjecture.”

The teenager subsequently shared his thoughts with various news platforms, expressing his discontent with Jessi’s apology, which came ten days post-incident. Both he and his mother voiced their belief that Jessi was not truthful when she claimed ignorance about the assailant.

“I noticed her apology, but it appeared to be filled with justifications. It’s implausible that someone who suddenly attacked him was a total stranger to her that day. My son insists that the person Jessi mentioned was not her acquaintance had been in her company.”stated the teenager’s mother.

In other developments, Jessi recently established her own company named UNNI and finalized a management agreement with DOD on September 20, 2024.
