On Friday, March 29, Tori Spelling filed for divorce from Dean McDermott after being married for 18 years. The star of Beverly Hills, 90210 submitted a petition to end their marriage in the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.

Spelling and McDermott have a family of five children, including Liam Aaron McDermott, 17, Stella Doreen, 15, Hattie Margaret, 12, Finn Davey, 11, and Beau Dean, 7.

According to the filing, Spelling has requested joint legal custody and sole physical custody of her children while McDermott, 57, will have visitation rights to be determined at a later time. Additionally, Tori Spelling is seeking parental support.

On Friday, March 29, Tori Spelling officially ended her nearly 18-year marriage to Dean McDermott by filing for divorce. The couple, who starred together on reality TV and were previously co-stars on Beverly Hills, 90210, had their petition to dissolve their marriage submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

They have a family of five children together, consisting of three sons and two daughters, whose ages range from 7 to 17.

Liam was their eldest child, born in 2006, just one year into their marriage. Stella, their first daughter, joined the family in 2008. Following her, their second son Finn was born in 2012 and their second daughter Hattie came along in 2011. In early 2017, their youngest child Beau was born.

Shortly after Finn’s arrival, McDermott and Spelling reportedly began experiencing some conflicts. However, Spelling maintains that they were able to work through their issues and ultimately found out they were pregnant with Beau, which they saw as a representation of a fresh start in their relationship.

Liam Aaron McDermott, the firstborn child of Spelling and McDermott, entered the world in Los Angeles on March 13, 2007. The reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood documented Liam’s early life, capturing memorable moments such as his birthdays and holidays, until he reached the age of five.

On June 9, 2008, the McDermott family welcomed their second child, Stella. The name was chosen in honor of the protagonist, Estella, from the novella Great Expectations written by Tod Spelling.

In 2011, Spelling and McDermott announced the birth of their second daughter, Hattie Margaret. On October 10, 2011, their baby girl was born, weighing 6 pounds and 14 ounces. The couple shared that they had opted not to find out the baby’s gender beforehand, and were pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a daughter.

One year after Hattie’s arrival, Tori Spelling welcomed another son, Finn, on August 30, 2012. However, Spelling experienced placenta previa during his birth, a condition where the placenta partially or fully covers the uterine opening. This resulted in some health complications for Spelling after the delivery, but she was able to gradually recover after undergoing emergency surgery.

Beau Dean, the youngest child of Spelling and McDermott, was born on March 2, 2017. Spelling’s delivery was smoother this time compared to her previous pregnancy, and the baby was born healthy.

After nearly twenty years, Spelling is seeking a divorce from her husband. Her divorce filing does not mention a prenuptial agreement and mentions that her personal assets are still being finalized.
