Andrea Bocelli’s Children: A Musical Legacy
Andrea Bocelli has had two marriages in his lifetime. The renowned tenor, aged 65, encountered his first spouse, Enrica Cenzatti, in the 1980s when he was just starting out in his musical journey, performing at piano bars. In June 1992, the pair tied the knot and three years later, their first son – Amos – was born.
In 1997, Bocelli’s second son, Matteo, was born to Cenzatti. Five years later, Enrica and Bocelli chose to end their relationship and officially separated in 2002.
In 2011, after nine years of dating, the tenor announced that he and his manager, Veronica Berti, were expecting a third child together. Two years later, they were married in the Sanctuary of Montenero in Italy.
All of Bocelli’s children have inherited his musical talent and are already making a name for themselves in the industry. Amos Bocelli, the oldest of his children, has proven to be a skilled pianist. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in piano, the 27-year-old frequently joins his father in his musical television performances. Additionally, in 2016, Amos became a member of the board for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) – a charitable effort started by his father.
Matteo Bocelli, the second son of Bocelli, has continued the family’s legacy by pursuing a career in classical music. His initial public performance was a duet with his father in the song Fall On Me. This musical collaboration was featured in the end credits of Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms in 2016.
Virginia, Bocelli’s youngest child, is only 12 years old but has already begun her career as a recording artist. She appeared in Dare To Be, a song released in the 2024 film Cabrini, alongside her father.

Prior to the Easter music special, Andrea Bocelli’s performance of Time To Say Goodbye with his children had already gained widespread recognition and received high praise. The father-son rendition of the song was a moving tribute at the 2024 Oscars In Memoriam segment.
The footage of the performance, originally recorded by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brighton more than 30 years ago, was uploaded on Bocelli’s YouTube channel three weeks ago. This single continues to be one of his all-time best to date.
