Alexis Skyy, a former star of Love and Hip Hop, has refuted allegations made by her ex-best friend, Anthony Gaskin, who claimed that she, along with two others, assaulted him, resulting in his injuries.
On Sunday, October 20, 2024, Skyy responded to The Shade Room, asserting that it was actually Gaskin who attacked her in a separate incident three weeks prior.
“Three weeks ago, Ant came to my home and assaulted me in front of my daughter. He initiated the physical confrontation. He persistently speaks about my child and continues to attack me,”Skyy stated in her interview with The Shade Room.
Skyy initially rose to prominence after her relationship with rapper Fetty Wap and has since been featured on various VH1 series, including Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Love & Hip Hop: New York, and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
She elaborated further:
“He is pretending to be the victim, claiming he has serious mental health issues. He should just remain quiet. It doesn’t matter whether he is gay or not; he assaulted me in front of my child. The industry knows he can’t stop talking, and I was the only person giving him a chance.”
Though Skyy did not provide additional details about the motives behind Gaskin’s supposed attack, she mentioned that it resulted in injuries including damaged nails. Furthermore, Alexis Skyy announced her intention to pursue legal measures against Gaskin, who had been her assistant and signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
“I have been emotionally distraught and physically beaten to the core”— Anthony Gaskin about Alexis Skyy allegedly jumping him
On the same day, Anthony Gaskin took to his TikTok account (@algexperience) to share with his followers that he had allegedly been attacked by Alexis Skyy and two other individuals while returning home on Friday. He claimed that when he attempted to leave the scene, Skyy and another female struck him in the face, and a male kicked him in the ribs.
Gaskin reported that the incident resulted in a fractured rib and a lost veneer. He subsequently posted images of his facial bruises on Instagram, stating:
“When a person you view as family and a close friend attacks you and then gets others to assault you, it must stop! The images you are seeing of me are just the beginning. I have been emotionally devastated and physically beaten to the core.”
As a fashion consultant and stylist, Gaskin also criticized Skyy’s parenting, accusing her of leaving her daughter, Lay Lay, in the care of unfamiliar people, although he did not elaborate on this statement.
In a series of Instagram stories, Gaskin clarified his comments regarding Lay Lay, insisting that he did not speak ill of Skyy’s daughter but was questioning Skyy’s parenting abilities. He further claimed that he frequently took care of her daughter and implied that Skyy would leave her with individuals she barely knew if he or her mother were unavailable.
Gaskin mentioned that he had contributed significantly to “relaunching”Alexis Skyy’s career by utilizing his industry connections to secure opportunities and brand partnerships, but he claimed that she ultimately “turned against him.”
Alexis Skyy’s Recent Political Stance on Voting for Trump
Recently, Alexis Skyy made headlines for expressing her intent to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming elections. In an interview with KISS 104.1, she stated:
“I’m voting for Trump! Let me get straight to the point: I’m voting for Trump! When he was in office, things were (different).”
Skyy justified her stance by mentioning that, despite his controversial demeanor, she believed he was a more favorable candidate due to his economic impact while in office.
However, following Trump’s remarks during a Fox News interview regarding potential cuts to the Department of Education and public school funding that teaches about the Atlantic slave trade, Alexis Skyy revised her political views. She later expressed via Instagram:
“The interview I gave about my voting choice was recorded before Trump’s statements concerning the Department of Education. Initially, I wanted to support Trump for my own reasons, but after learning more about both candidates, I will no longer be casting my vote for him.”
Skyy concluded her post with an incorrect election date, stating November 4, when it is actually set for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
According to The Shade Room, in response to Skyy’s voting announcement, Anthony Gaskin commented on their post, slamming her decision, stating that he had “distanced”himself from her due to her alleged lack of morals and willingness to do “anything for money, including leaving her child with strangers.”
As of now, Anthony Gaskin has not publicly addressed Alexis Skyy’s allegations against him.
