In the YouTube video shared by Compusemble, Alan Wake 2 is benchmarked using an RTX 4090, showcasing the game at 4K resolution with Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA), DLSS at Quality settings, and high path tracing—all set to maximum. The side-by-side analysis reveals that incorporating RTX Mega Geometry not only enhances gameplay but also leads to an average performance boost of 13%, along with a notable decrease in VRAM consumption.
The Implications of RTX Mega Geometry
Despite the current RTX 40 series lacking the fourth-generation ray tracing cores designed specifically for RTX Mega Geometry, it’s anticipated that performance metrics will be even more favorable on the new RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models.
