In celebration of the one-year anniversary of Alan Wake 2, Remedy Entertainment has launched a new DLC titled Alan Wake 2: The Lake House. However, many gamers may find themselves at a standstill shortly after initiating this expansion due to a challenging puzzle that involves entering a password on a computer screen.
If you’re struggling to decipher the computer password, consult the guide below to uncover the solution and move forward with the narrative.
Computer Password for Alan Wake 2: The Lake House
This DLC focuses on unraveling a mystery hinted at by FBI agent Kieran Estevaz during the main game. In this scenario, players will actively engage with the character as they work to uncover the puzzle. Just moments after diving into the Lake House DLC, adventurers will encounter a computer that requires a password for access.
To ensure the secrecy of the mystery and maintain the security of the password, it should not include the date or any birth dates. Hence, players must search for one constant set of numbers and another that varies each day.
Examine the surroundings closely; you’ll notice several certificates adorning the walls. One of these documents indicates that the construction of the Lake House was finalized on July 18. This will serve as the first set of numbers—the constant ones.
Next, take a brief glance at the nearby calendar for the second set of numbers, which changes daily. The memo specifies that it cannot correspond to the current date. Instead, pay attention to a note about actress Hedy Lamarr on the page, which states she invented a torpedo guidance system at the age of 38.
Since the date cannot be used, the second set of numbers must be 38. Combining these two sets yields 1807 and 38. Input the code 180738 to successfully gain access to the computer. Once the correct password is entered, a door opposite the computer office will unlock.
Inside this new room, you will find the security Clearance keycard, which is essential for continuing down the elevator and advancing the plot in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House.
