AGT Season 19 Finale Recap: Celebrity Guests Join Finale Contestants for Spectacular Performances
The conclusion of America’s Got Talent season 19 took place on September 24, 2024, culminating in the announcement of the season’s winner. The final episode, which aired on September 17, showcased ten remarkable acts during a thrilling two-hour event, as judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara observed their favorite contestants competing for the grand prize of one million dollars.
The ten finalists of America’s Got Talent included AIRFOOTWORKS (dance), Brent Street (dance), Hakuna Matata Acrobats (acrobatics), Richard Goodall (singer), Learnmore Jonasi (comedian), Solange Kardinaly (quick change artist), Roni Sagi & Rhythm (dog act), Sebastian & Sonia (aerial duo), Dee Dee Simon (singer), and Sky Elements (drone group).
The live finale also featured a lineup of celebrities such as Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles & the Gold Over America Tour, Michael Bublé, Neal Schon from Journey, DJ Steve Aoki, comedian Gabriel Iglesias, the cast of Magic Mike Live Las Vegas, Andra Day, and the Detroit Youth Choir, who previously performed on America’s Got Talent.
Highlights from America’s Got Talent Season 19 Finale
The finale kicked off with Sky Elements presenting a spectacular drone show outside the venue, accompanied by the Detroit Youth Choir singing “High Hopes.”Host Terry Crews even joined in the festivities by dancing along. Simone Biles later took the spotlight with Terry, discussing the essence of being a winner. AIRFOOTWORKS took the stage alongside Grammy-nominee DJ Steve Aoki, igniting the crowd’s energy. Both the Hakuna Matata Acrobats and Roni Sagi & Rhythm wowed the judges with their performances, followed by a captivating show from Brent Street.
Michael Bublé serenaded the audience with “L.O.V.E.”from his upcoming greatest hits album, The Best Of Bublé, set to release on September 27. Continuing the trend of powerful performances, Andra Day delivered her latest song “Probably,”with aerial duo Sebastian & Sonia adding a stunning visual display.
Following her performance, Andra introduced the Detroit Youth Choir, who performed The Beatles’ classic “Come Together,”featuring Dee Dee Simon from this season’s contestants on lead vocals.
Richard Goodall, who made his mark during the auditions by singing Journey’s iconic “Don’t Stop Believin’,”returned to the stage to perform the same song, this time joined by Neal Schon and other members of Journey.
Comedian Learnmore Jonasi showcased his talent for family-friendly humor and received an invitation from celebrated standup comedian Gabriel Iglesias to perform live at The Chelsea Theater in Las Vegas.
Quick-change artist Solange Kardinaly dazzled with her performance alongside the cast of Magic Mike Live, displaying her impressive wardrobe changes. Simone Biles, along with Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, and Fred Richard from the Gold Over America Tour, thrilled the audience with a medley of gymnastic routines.
Before the results were revealed, host Terry Crews shared heartfelt messages from contestants’ family and friends, all hopeful for a victory in America’s Got Talent season 19. The first five acts to be eliminated were announced as follows:
- Brent Street – 10th place
- Sebastian and Sonia – 9th place
- Dee Dee Simon – 8th place
- Hakuna Matata Acrobats – 7th place
- AIRFOOTWORKS – 6th place
The top five finalists included:
- Learnmore Jonasi – 5th place
- Solange Kardinaly – 4th place
- Sky Elements – 3rd place
- Roni Sagi and Rhythm – 2nd place
- Richard Goodall – Winner
Ultimately, Richard Goodall emerged as the champion of America’s Got Talent season 19, securing the grand prize of $1 million.
