The upcoming expansion for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is set to take players on an exciting journey to the ancient era through an innovative single-player campaign. Crafted by CaptureAge, a group of seasoned Age of Empires developers known for their support of the franchise, the Chronicles: Battle for Greece expansion marks the beginning of a new era of downloadable content focused on storytelling and historical depth.

Chronicles: Battle for Greece will feature a robust campaign consisting of 21 distinct scenarios, introducing three new civilizations: Athenians, Spartans, and Achaemenids. Players will also experience a revamped naval combat system, animated cutscenes, and much more.

This Chronicles expansion represents a fresh direction for DLC in the game, dedicated to providing unique historical campaigns with distinctive features and civilizations, all while ensuring that the core gameplay and multiplayer experience remain unchanged.
