Adele recently expressed a heartfelt message to Celine Dion following the music icon’s unexpected appearance at her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum. During her performance on October 26, fans captured footage of Adele visibly moved as she tearfully approached Dion from the stage.
In a subsequent Instagram update, Adele shared the significance of that moment, stating:
“I have been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. Just 4 weeks to go! It was the only venue I ever wanted to play in Las Vegas because it was built for her. I touch a picture of her next to the stage every night before I perform, and when she came to the show this weekend, it was a total surprise and truly a MOMENT!”
Alongside her touching words, Adele posted a photo of herself embracing Celine Dion during her visit, with Dion affectionately holding her face.
The Colosseum Theater, which opened in 2003, was specifically designed for Dion’s residency. During Adele’s performance, Dion sat in a box alongside her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angelil.

Adele had previously met Celine backstage at the Colosseum during her second residency in 2018, describing their encounter as a “defining highlight”in her life on Instagram.
Fast forward six years, and the tables turned, with the “My Heart Will Go On”singer in attendance, while Adele performed on stage.
The “Set Fire to the Rain”artist took to social media to convey how deeply it touched her to have the Canadian icon present during her show. She remarked:
“@celinedion I love you so incredibly much. It’s hard to express how much you mean to me or what it felt to see you back in your palace with your wonderful family.”
In the fan-recorded clips from her October 26 concert, Adele is seen in the midst of a song when she notices Dion in the crowd. Overcome with emotion, she pauses to cry, then reaches over the railing to embrace her.
The moving footage also captured Dion tenderly holding Adele’s face and kissing her hand before Adele resumed her performance.
In her Instagram post, Adele described their meeting as an “honor,”calling it a cherished memory she will hold onto forever. She shared:
“Being there has been a true honor, and the night on Saturday will forever be etched in my mind. It was such a full circle moment for me to share that experience with you. Thank you immensely.”
Adele’s shows at the Colosseum Theater at Caesar’s Palace are coming to a close, with her final performance scheduled for Saturday, November 23.
For Celine Dion, this concert marked her latest public appearance since revealing her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome on December 22.
This incurable condition, which Dion described as feeling like “somebody’s strangling you,”has significantly impacted her ability to perform live.
Nevertheless, she made headlines during the summer for a poignant rendition of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne a l’amour”at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
