Pop singer Addison Rae recently disclosed her feelings for Troye Sivan, stating that he gave her “butterflies”during their live performance. On September 25, 2024, Rae took to her Instagram stories to share her sentiments after making a guest appearance on his tour.
“I’m actually in love with Troye. You don’t understand.. when we touched heads during Diet Pepsi, I had butterflies and then couldn’t even look at him again,”she expressed.
Sivan and Charli XCX are currently in the midst of their North American Sweat Tour. During a memorable show at Madison Square Garden in New York, surprise guests Rae and Lorde joined the stage. Lorde performed her track Girl alongside Charli, while Rae made her live performance debut of her latest single, Diet Pepsi.
Following her Instagram post, Addison reposted @PopCrave’s tweet about her story, adding her own remark:
“I wish I was joking.”
As Rae’s Instagram revelation spread, internet users shared their reactions. One user empathized with her and wrote:

The remix will be part of the album’s new iteration titled It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat, scheduled for release in October and will feature Rae’s additional vocals along with production from her frequent collaborator A.G. Cook.
Addison Rae and Charli XCX have collaborated before on Rae’s track 2 Die 4, included in her extended play AR. Rae expressed her excitement regarding this collaboration during a September 2024 interview with SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio, saying:
“She has such amazing taste and has given me such, you know, an eye into that when she is working. And anything that we did together was so, it was so nice to see her perspective on those things and really see someone who’s been such an incredible artist and so respected for so long.”
Rae rose to fame on TikTok, amassing over 88 million followers and currently ranking as the fifth-most followed user on the platform. She debuted her single Obsessed in 2021 and followed it up with Diet Pepsi in 2024, which peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is seen as a pivotal song in her career. Addison Rae has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like He’s All That, Thanksgiving, and made guest appearances on The Kardashians. She will lend her voice to a character in the animated film Animal Friends, alongside Ryan Reynolds.
As of now, Troye Sivan has not publicly responded to Rae’s revelation.
