Achieving the Sun Clan’s True Ending in Dynasty Warriors Origins

In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players encounter three distinct factions, each offering a captivating storyline filled with thrilling developments. As players progress to the game’s third chapter, they must choose which faction to align with, a commitment that will last until the end credits roll. Although the overarching narrative is largely predetermined, there are pivotal moments where player choices can lead to alternate outcomes, allowing for a slight variation in character fates. To achieve the true ending for Wu, players must save two pivotal members of the Sun clan.

Unlocking the True Ending for Wu in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

For players aiming to achieve the true ending for Wu, it is essential to rescue Sun Jian during the Battle of Xiangyang and subsequently save Sun Ce during the Suppression of Wu. Successfully completing Chapter 5 will yield a unique conclusion where both Sun Jian and Sun Ce manage to secure the Emperor amidst chaos in the Battle of Chibi. This route is more intricate compared to securing the true ending for Shu, yet simpler than accomplishing Wei’s ending.

Saving Sun Jian in the Battle of Xiangyang (Chapter 3)

During a typical playthrough of the Battle of Xiangyang, players are generally prompted to press forward, inadvertently leaving Sun Jian behind. To alter this outcome, players should navigate to the central area and attempt to escape through the bottom-left exit. Before proceeding, they must defeat a phantom version of Zhang Jiao, who may appear after a brief wait.

Upon defeating Zhang Jiao, players should make their way to Sun Jian, located in a cave at the bottom-left corner of the map. Once reached, a cutscene will unfold featuring Ziluan saving Sun Jian from a collapsing boulder, followed by a Fate Altered notification. At this point, Sun Jian will request an escort from the battlefield, concluding the mission.

Saving Sun Ce During the Suppression of Wu (Chapter 4)

In this battle, the primary objective is to rescue Sun Ce, but players must initially focus on protecting Sun Quan, who is likely to retreat without assistance. To ensure Sun Quan’s safety, players should take down enemy officers in the central area and assist allies at battlegrounds marked with letters.

After a few minutes, Sun Ce will capture a base near the map’s center and express concern about potential enemy ambushes in the nearby forest. Players should then head to the bottom-left corner of the map, where they will encounter a phantom army and must defeat phantom Yan Baihu.

After defeating Yan Baihu, players should travel north, close to the left wall, and search for a hidden cave entrance concealed by vines. Inside, they will face Bailuan, who will summon phantom enemies to aid in battle. Upon defeating Bailuan, a Fate Altered message will appear again, allowing players to return to the central area and complete the remainder of the battle normally.

Securing the Emperor During the Battle of Chibi (Chapter 5)

In contrast to securing Wei’s true ending, players need not make any specific alterations during the final battle to unlock Wu’s true ending. Provided that both Sun Jian and Sun Ce have been saved, players only need to complete the Battle of Sanjiangkou and the Battle of Chibi as usual. For those experiencing their first playthrough of the Sun clan storyline, they will need to progress through the entirety of Chapter 5, while veterans can utilize the newly available restart point in the Story menu to jump directly to the concluding battles.

Upon successfully completing the Wu storyline with the true ending, players will earn the “The True Future of Wu”Trophy/Achievement.
