Acer has officially announced a forthcoming price increase for its products, effective February 20, 2026. This decision is driven largely by the escalating costs associated with memory and solid-state drives (SSDs).

Acer to Adjust Product Pricing Amidst Rising Component Expenses

The market for PC hardware continues to face instability, prompting numerous leading manufacturers to announce price adjustments with alarming frequency. Recently, companies such as Maingear and Framework have implemented multiple price hikes, while ASUS has also followed suit, citing rising memory and SSD costs. Acer’s announcement marks the latest in this trend.

Acer's notice regarding its product price revisions effective February 20, 2026

According to the Acer Predator Gaming Japan account on X, the price adjustments will apply to their entire range of computer products, primarily due to the pervasive increase in RAM and SSD prices. This ongoing surge in component costs has significantly impacted the overall price of PC hardware, leading to nearly weekly price adjustments across the market.

Due to rising prices of major components such as memory and SSDs, Acer will revise the prices of PC products on its official online store starting from February 20, 2026.

Purchases at the current prices will be available until February 19.

We will continue striving to improve our product value. We appreciate your understanding.

Note: Prices of some products will remain unchanged.

– Acer Japan

It remains uncertain whether this price increase will have a global impact or be localized solely to Japan. However, it is evident that any Acer products featuring memory or SSDs will experience an adjustment in price. The company has indicated that certain items, such as peripherals, will not be subjected to this price revision. It’s anticipated that devices including laptops, pre-built PCs, tablets, and other hardware reliant on RAM and NAND storage will see the most significant price hikes.

With just a week left until the new prices are implemented, Acer has yet to disclose the specific magnitude of these price changes, which will likely vary across different devices. As consumers prepare for adjustments in pricing, it’s advisable to act swiftly if planning to purchase Acer products at their current rates.
