Attention, fans of the 2000s and 2010s!
The much-loved Nickelodeon series, Victorious, concluded its final season in 2013, having left an indelible mark on its audience. Following its run, a spin-off, Sam & Cat, made a brief appearance but was short-lived, ending in 2014. Fast forward nearly a decade, and fans are finally getting a burst of nostalgia with exciting news on the horizon.
New Spin-Off from the World of ‘Victorious’ Starring Daniella Monet
On February 6, it was announced that a new spin-off of Victorious is officially in development. Daniella Monet will return to portray her character, Trina Vega. Tentatively titled “Hollywood Arts, ” the narrative will explore Trina’s journey as she takes on the role of a teacher at the very school where her character once navigated her own teenage struggles and triumphs.
The production is underway, and casting decisions are still being made. There’s a hopeful buzz among fans regarding the possibility of other Victorious stars, such as Victoria Justice, reprising their roles. Viewers are eager to see how the sisterly bond between Tori and Trina evolves in this new setting!
In addition to her on-screen role, Monet is stepping into the shoes of an executive producer for this project. She will collaborate with Jake Farrow, who previously wrote and produced Sam & Cat, along with Samantha Martin. This partnership is set to bring a fresh perspective and quality writing to the upcoming series.
Originally produced by Dan Schneider, Victorious aired on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013, and captured the lives of Tori Vega, portrayed by Victoria Justice, and her experiences at the prestigious performing arts school, Hollywood Arts. The show followed Tori and her talented peers as they navigated the ups and downs of adolescence, friendships, and the pursuit of dreams in the entertainment industry.
Fans are hopeful that the pilot episode will be well-received, leading to a full series run. Anticipation is building to witness how Trina, often teased for her lack of talent during her school days, will impart her wisdom and experiences to a new generation of students. Currently, there has been no indication of when the series will premiere.
