To start utilizing weapon throwing mechanics, you must first ensure that you are in a suitable match format.Be aware that if disqualifications are enabled, tossing a weapon in view of the referee will result in an automatic loss. A strategic approach is necessary; if you can “accidentally” knock down the referee, it provides a small window to throw weapons without facing disqualification. However, exercise caution, as intentionally knocking down the referee multiple times can increase your risk of getting disqualified.

In WWE 2K25, to collect weapons within the arena, exit the ring and head to the apron.Use RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation) to leave the ring, then press LB (Xbox) or L1 (PlayStation) near the apron to retrieve a weapon. This action will bring up a weapon wheel featuring six selectable items. Use the Left Stick to navigate and press A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation) to grab your desired weapon. Furthermore, you can pick up weapons that are lying on the ground or environmental items like the steel steps by standing in the appropriate range and pressing LB/L1.

Note that some arenas may require you to approach different areas to access weapons, especially if there are features like LED screens present on the apron.

Once a weapon is in hand, you can initiate standard attacks by pressing X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation).Certain weapons like the Trash Can feature an additional attack option that can be executed by pressing A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation) while holding the item. For throwing any weapon, including the ladder, simply press B (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation).

While there isn’t a direct aiming function, the weapon will target the individual you are currently locked onto, so positioning is key. Ensure that there are no ring obstacles in your path to increase the likelihood of hitting your target.Pushing your character closer to the opponent enhances both accuracy and predictability of the throw.
