Kingdom Come: Deliverance immerses players in the life of Henry, the son of a blacksmith, who is thrust into a narrative filled with hardship and tragedy right from the start. Although the game opens on a somber note, it also presents opportunities for players to perform heroic deeds amidst the chaos of the Medieval era.
One pivotal moment occurs in the second main quest, where Henry encounters Theresa, a character in dire straits. For players keen on completing achievements, this moment is particularly significant. This guide will provide detailed instructions on how to rescue Theresa in Kingdom Come: Deliverance and secure the coveted Cavalier trophy.
Rescuing Theresa in Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Completing the task of rescuing Theresa is fairly straightforward, yet it can easily be overlooked or poorly executed, especially as players are still familiarizing themselves with the game’s mechanics. It’s not uncommon for players to unintentionally miss rescuing her while attempting to confront several Cumans at once.
To ensure Theresa’s safety, players must engage the designated button to instruct Henry to whistle for a horse—on PlayStation consoles, this is the Triangle button. Fortunately, approaching nearby horses will prompt a tutorial pop-up that guides players on how to whistle and mount a horse simultaneously. Make sure to maintain an appropriate distance so that you whistle for your horse rather than mounting it immediately. The whistle will attract the Cumans’ attention, causing them to abandon Theresa in pursuit of Henry. Success is confirmed once the Cavalier achievement unlocks, signaling that Theresa is no longer in danger.
Consequences of Not Rescuing Theresa

Although Theresa finds herself in a perilous situation, players will be relieved to know that failing to rescue her does not result in her death. Although rescuing her is not mandatory, leaving her in danger could reflect poorly on Henry’s character.
The most significant effect of not saving her is on Henry’s interactions with another potential romantic interest, Lady Stephanie. If Henry does not rescue Theresa, her story will be absent during his narrative exchange with Stephanie. Conversely, if he successfully saves her, she will commend his bravery, positively influencing his relationship with Stephanie.
