Exploring Gerudo Canyon in *Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*
As you venture into Gerudo Canyon in *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*, you’ll immediately notice the challenging climate, characterized by a harsh sun and frigid nights. The intense heat during the daytime requires appropriate armor for heat resistance, while a chill grips the night, testing your stamina and health.
It is advisable to equip the Snowquill armor set to withstand the cold nights. For protection against the daytime heat, however, obtaining the Desert Voe armor set is essential, which can be found while exploring the Gerudo region. Below, we detail the process to acquire the full Desert Voe armor set.
Acquiring the Desert Voe Armor Set in *Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*
The Desert Voe armor set consists of the Desert Voe headband, spaulder, and trousers. While wearing any one piece of this set provides a limited heat resistance, you’ll need at least two pieces to offer adequate protection against the sun. Ideally, wearing the complete three-piece set is recommended for optimal safety.
Furthermore, if you upgrade the entire Desert Voe set at a Great Fairy Fountain, you unlock an additional perk: shock resistance, which can be very beneficial. Now, let’s unveil the locations of each armor piece.
Where to Find the Desert Voe Headband
Your quest for the Desert Voe headband begins as you enter Gerudo Canyon. After a brief interaction with a Gerudo NPC, proceed through the sandy terrain until you arrive at the Kara Kara Bazaar, recognizable on your map alongside the Mayatat Shrine.

At Kara Kara Bazaar, you’ll find several tents, but you should specifically head to the one offering armor. Speak with the vendor, who will sell you the Desert Voe headband for 450 Rupees, while hinting at a secret shop near Fashion Passion in Gerudo Town.

Obtaining the Desert Voe Spaulder and Trousers
After acquiring the headband, continue your journey through Gerudo towards Gerudo Town, which also houses the Soryotanog Shrine for convenient fast travel. However, ensure you have a total of 1950 Rupees ready to purchase the remaining pieces of the Desert Voe armor set.

Once in Gerudo Town, look to your left to find Fashion Passion. Although its interiors are restricted to select customers, you can easily break through. Ascend the wall of the shop and peer down at the waterfall adjacent to it.

Below the waterfall is a hole leading into shallow water, allowing Link to walk through it effortlessly. Continue forward until you encounter a rock obstructing your path. You can use any hammer weapon, Bomb Fruit, or utilize Yunobo’s charge ability to break the rock and advance.
Follow the straightforward pathway until you reach a left turn with another waterfall ahead. Do not pass through this opening, as it will lead you back into the cave.

Instead of going into that passage, rotate to face the pillars nearby and use the Ascend ability to rise through the structure. This action will lead you directly to Fashion Passion where the armor pieces await.
At Fashion Passion, you can purchase the Desert Voe spaulder for 1300 Rupees and the Desert Voe trousers for 650 Rupees. While these items may seem pricey, they are vital investments for enduring the excruciating heat of Gerudo.

Additionally, a door at the rear of the shop, initially obstructed by a crate, can be used for easier access in future visits.
For players eager to explore more gear in *Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*, consider acquiring other armor sets designed for specific challenges: the Glide armor for aerial adventures, the Climbing Gear for rugged terrains, or the Depths armor for protection against Gloom.
