A Complete Guide on Detaching Weapon Charms in CS2

Valve has finally rolled out weapon charms in CS2 following a significant update. This latest patch also introduced three new weapon collections, cases, and more. However, the introduction of weapon charms in CS2 stands out as the key feature of this update. These stylish cosmetics can be adorned on your weapons.

There are two primary collections of weapon charms available in CS2, which can be attached to your weapon of choice from the Armory. Detaching them, however, involves a more intricate process. Here’s a quick guide on how to remove them.

How to Detach Weapon Charms in CS2

To detach weapon charms in CS2, you will need to acquire a Charm Detachment Pack. The method for removing these charms in Counter Strike 2 is quite different from games like Valorant, where removal can simply be done from your inventory. Follow these steps:

  • Upon redeeming a charm from the Armory, you will receive three complimentary Charm Detachments.
  • Apply one Charm Detachment to remove the charm from your weapon. This process can also be executed within the Armory. Once the charm is removed, it will appear in your inventory.
  • Be judicious with your Charm Detachments, as purchasing them separately will cost around $0.99 in CS2.

This straightforward process allows you to detach weapon charms in CS2. Currently, the game offers two collections: the Missing Link Charms and the Small Arms Charms.

The Missing Link Charms include small figures resembling operators from the game, while the Small Arms collection features miniature representations of CS2 weapons that can be affixed to your actual firearms.

In addition to weapon charms in CS2, about 48 new weapon skins have been introduced, featuring designs from the Overpass, Graphic, and Sport and Field collections. The Gallery Case has also been launched, showcasing 17 unique community-created designs.

New stickers have been added as well, enhancing the gaming experience. A notable feature is sticker scraping, allowing players to scrape stickers before applying them, enabling a preview to decide if they want to keep it.

Perhaps the most significant highlight of the update is the CS2 Armory, a purchasable pass that allows you to earn progress leading to credits. These credits can be utilized to purchase items included in the new update. Players can have five armory passes active at once, providing access to additional credits.

The Armory is also where you’ll manage your weapon charms in CS2 and may find yourself detaching them. Be sure to redeem the charms you like to avoid needing to remove them later.
