In the engaging world of 99 Nights in the Forest, whether you’re adventuring solo or with a team, bandages play an essential role. Not only do they restore health to yourself and teammates, but they can also revive fallen allies during intense battles.
Despite their importance, bandages are notably scarce in the early stages of 99 Nights, making them a coveted resource.

In 99 Nights in the Forest, bandages are categorized as tools, similar to flashlights or weapons. They occupy your hotbar space, offering convenience without cluttering your inventory. This means you can retrieve them quickly when the situation demands urgent healing.
How to Acquire Bandages in 99 Nights in the Forest
There are four primary methods to obtain bandages in the game:
- Start your journey as the Medic Class.
- Discover bandages in chests as a rare find.
- Locate them within randomly spawning hospital buildings.
- Reconstruct the anvil at the Anvil Base to craft them using two bunny feet and two wolf pelts.
Utilizing the Medic Class for Bandages
One of the most advantageous characters to unlock is the Medic class. By choosing this class, you start the game with two bandages, enabling you to handle early challenges confidently and potentially reducing the need for resources later when tackling Cultist Strongholds.
As you progress, one of your bandages evolves into a medkit, which heals greater damage and revives allies with more hit points, making it an essential upgrade for your survival.
Searching for Bandages in Chests
Another avenue to secure bandages is through traditional chests. Though this method is not consistently fruitful, bandages emerge as valuable treasures—especially significant in the early game if you’ve already secured a reliable axe and an adequate sack.
While finding bandages in chests is not a frequent occurrence, it remains a possibility worth exploring.
Bandages Found in Hospitals
As players develop their strategy by expanding their campfire, various structures, including hospitals, will randomly spawn throughout the forest. Hospitals, though relatively uncommon, are rich in bandages.

These hospitals are filled not only with bandages but also include metal chairs that can be collected as scrap and four lockers positioned at the back, ripe for looting. However, caution is warranted, as hospitals often have a formidable presence of wolves and alpha wolves guarding their entrances.
Players should strategize by traveling with a group to tackle these fierce foes or prepare for a stealthy retreat by shutting the door behind them while scavenging for bandages.
Crafting Bandages at the Anvil Building
For those reaching the late game, the Anvil Building offers a unique opportunity to produce an essentially unlimited supply of bandages. This structure typically appears as your campfire progresses towards completion and is identifiable by its tall, circular shape and a notable blacksmith’s anvil logo.
However, be prepared for a significant challenge, as the Anvil Base is frequently overrun by wolves and cultists. Begin by cutting away the overgrown entrance to gain access, then defeat the cultist enemies. Search thoroughly inside the building for the separate anvil components—front and back parts—climbing vines to access higher levels if necessary.
Once you’ve collected all parts, return them to the ground floor to reconstruct the anvil. Upon completion, this facility not only allows for crafting advanced items, such as the powerful chainsaw but also enables the crafting of bandages using a combination of two rabbit feet and two wolf pelts.
