Many fans of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? are eagerly hoping for the return of Michael Ilesanmi. However, I firmly believe that his comeback would not be a beneficial addition to the franchise. Michael and Angela Deem originally connected through Facebook, leading to an online romance that eventually brought them together in person in Nigeria. While their first meeting on the show was captivating, their relationship quickly devolved into one of the least admirable pairings in the series. Michael’s infidelity caused significant trust issues that plagued their bond.
It was disheartening to observe how Angela repeatedly forgave Michael despite his untrustworthy behavior. Over time, revelations about Michael’s flirtations with other women emerged, creating an increasingly tumultuous situation. Despite discovering Michael’s involvement in dubious WhatsApp groups and hidden funds, Angela chose to bring him to the United States on a spousal visa. Sadly, Michael only stayed with her for a mere three months before unexpectedly leaving, and he has since relocated to Texas while Angela navigates efforts to have him deported.
Michael’s Love for Angela Was Never Unconditional
Michael Is a Manipulative User

Now that Michael is single, speculation about his potential appearance on 90 Day: The Single Life has intensified as fans hope he finds genuine love after the tumultuous seven-year relationship with Angela. Both individuals deserve happiness post-separation; however, I hold strong reservations about Michael’s return to reality television. His questionable character and repeated display of dishonesty throughout various spin-offs make it hard for me to support his re-entry into the franchise.
Although love can be unconditional, many couples within the 90 Day Fiancé realm exemplify true affection, such as Alexei & Loren Brovarnik, Omar Albakour & Avery Mills, and Sam Wilson & Citra Herani. In sharp contrast, Michael’s motivations appear selfish, as he seemed more interested in using Angela as a vehicle to gain entry into the United States. While Angela’s behavior towards Michael was at times inappropriate, I can’t help but feel that Michael’s silence stemmed from his ulterior motives to arrive in America and depart thereafter.
Michael Is a “Troublemaker”
Michael Brings More Unnecessary “Trouble”& Less Drama

Michael’s dubious actions often get masked by Angela’s boisterous and confrontational personality. Angela frequently faces accusations of abuse, while Michael’s deceitful behavior and infidelities slide under the radar. I prefer to focus on Michael’s actions directly; his constant dishonesty and manipulation in securing his visa render any new love narrative on the show unappealing. While I wish him well, I cannot justify spending my time watching him seek love after treating Angela poorly for years.
It seems I’m not alone in finding Michael problematic. Allegedly, the producers of 90 Day Fiancé label him a “troublemaker, ”showing a lack of interest in featuring him without Angela’s presence. Angela herself noted in an Instagram post that Michael would not be part of any spin-off due to his troublesome reputation, echoing the sentiment that producers are interested in drama without the complications Michael brings.
Michael Isn’t as Entertaining as Angela
Michael’s Scandalous Behavior Is Unfit for TV
Michael and Angela have been part of numerous 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs over the last six years, yet their continued appearances stem largely from Angela’s compelling screen presence. Her dynamic and unpredictable persona captivates viewers, while Michael’s introversion fails to create similar excitement. In my view, his lack of memorable moments and lines weakens his appeal on-screen.
Moreover, Michael’s scandalous antics, which lack charm, further tarnish his image. It was disheartening to witness his departure from Angela merely three months after arriving in the U. S., showing little interest in reconciliation or commitment. His actions, including hiding money from Angela and being involved in a controversial visa group, suggest he may have been using the relationship as a means to an end. Despite their ended relationship, Michael seems eager to maintain his television presence, hinting that he hasn’t secured stable employment and is instead relying on his reality fame for attention.
Michael Is Now Reportedly in a “Love Triangle”Relationship
Is Michael Trying to Have an Anchor Baby in America?

While Michael left Angela citing her aggressive nature and expressing a desire for a more tranquil life, recent reports suggest his life is rife with drama. Allegations about his romantic escapades surface frequently. Just months ago, he was accused of being involved with a married woman, and more recently, he reportedly admitted fault in a car accident. These actions raise questions about whether leaving Angela was part of a premeditated plan, with her temperament merely serving as a convenient excuse.
Despite attempting to maintain a positive public persona, rumors about Michael’s relationships are rampant online. An Instagram account shared a message claiming that he is involved in a “love entanglement, ”and since he remains legally married to Angela, this may include serious complications. The troubling rumor that he got a “side piece”pregnant raises red flags about his intentions. Given these developments, I have little interest in seeing Michael featured again; rather than searching for love, he seems to be pursuing an anchor baby in the United States.
