Prior to the premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6, Statler and Dempsey shared their plan to embark on a van trip across Europe. Dempsey was thrilled about the adventure, but Statler began to feel anxious about her relationship with her fiancé as they traveled.

Lily and her daughter Vivian uncovered Josh’s deceit regarding a WeChat photo where he posed with a Vietnamese woman he claimed was just a late friend. After investigating further, the duo discovered that the woman was alive and had indeed dated Josh previously.

At the climax of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 episode 16, they confronted Josh about his fabrications. Josh defended himself by suggesting that when he claimed the Vietnamese woman was dead, he referred to her being “dead to him.”
