In addition to Jungkook’s contributions, the song was co-written by JUN, UTA, and Gustav Mared. This beautiful ballad intertwines optimistic storytelling and follows a lover yearning to reunite with their beloved.

Jungkook and Jimin beautifully harmonize in the chorus:

“Even the darkness we see is so beautiful./ Please believe me / Looking only directly at you / So you don’t go away”

2) Still With You

Another remarkable Jungkook-written piece is Still With You, performed during BTS’ Annual Fiesta in 2020 and officially released on various music platforms in July 2023.

This jazz-infused track delivers a heartfelt message to the ARMY, assuring them, “No matter what happens, he will be with them.”

The song concludes with:

“I’ll draw beautiful purple light/ Our steps might not match/ But I want to walk this path with you/ Still with you”

3) Magic Shop

Magic Shop, co-written by Jungkook alongside Hiss Noise, RM, DJ Swivel, Candace Nicole Sosa, ADORA, J-Hope, and Suga, is featured on the album Love Yourself: Tear, released in May 2018.

This track portrays a comforting sanctuary for listeners, where their feelings are validated and healing can occur. The lyrics inspire the ARMY to remain resilient, stating:

“But looking back on it now, truthfully, I feel like it’s not true that I wanted to be the best./ I wanted to become your comfort and move your heart, I want to take away your sadness, and pain”

4) Autumn Leaves

The metaphorical composition Autumn Leaves was released in 2015 as part of their second mini-album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2.

This title carries significant symbolism, likening the autumn season to a melancholic phase, where trees shed their leaves before winter, paralleling a fading relationship.

In this context, Jungkook poignantly writes:

“I can see that our relationship is fading / An empty relationship like the autumn sky”

5) My Time

My Time, the ninth track from Map of the Soul: 7, debuted in 2020. Co-authored by Sleep Deez, RM, Jayrah Gibson, Pdogg, Printz Board, and Richelle Alleyne, this song narrates Jungkook’s personal journey.

Emerging from a live discussion with RM, Jungkook expresses his quest for time and personal growth.

Referencing both past and present, he writes:

“Even if it’s opposite of sun / One time for the present (one time) / Two times for the past (two time) / Happy that we met each other / Now til’ the very end”

6) Outro: Love is Not Over

This track, co-written by Jungkook, Jin, Slow Rabbit, and Pdogg, saw its full-length edition released in 2016 as part of the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.

It narrates the heartache of two lovers apart, illuminating the emotional turmoil one experiences during separation.

In his heartfelt lyrics, Jungkook expresses:

“Without you, I don’t think I can be / Love me, love me / Come back to my arms

7) Stay

Stay is a collaborative effort by Jungkook, Arston, RM, and Jin, which debuted in November 2020. Originally intended for Jungkook’s solo mixtape, the song later made its way into BTS’ album BE.

Released during the COVID-19 pandemic, the track conveys a message of solidarity, assuring the ARMY that BTS will always be present, regardless of circumstances.

To the fandom, Jungkook tenderly wrote:

“I think it’s a blessing to repeat / I don’t know what I’m thinking either / Can’t I be able to see you? / I put my hands together silently / Tomorrow doesn’t change/ Like a madman, I keep sayin’ / Wherever you are/ I know you always stay”

Beyond these notable songs, Jungkook has penned numerous other tracks for BTS, including Run BTS, Skit, Introduction: Youth, Circle Room Cypher, No More Dream, and many more.

The K-pop idol has also contributed to the In The Soop OST, further demonstrating Jungkook’s remarkable songwriting abilities.
