6-time WWE Champion surprisingly returning to fight The Rock on Night Two of WrestleMania XL should happen, says veteran

Matt Morgan, a veteran in the world of wrestling, has openly expressed his wish to witness the return of WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin in a match against The Rock at WrestleMania XL.

The last boss plans to join forces with the reigning WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for a huge tag team battle against Cody Rhodes and the current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on the first night of this year’s Show of Shows. If they emerge victorious, Reigns’ championship match against The American Nightmare on the second night will follow the Bloodline Rules, making interferences permissible.

Morgan shared on his Gigantic Pop podcast that he hopes to witness Austin’s comeback on Night Two of WrestleMania XL, where he would face off against The Rock and prevent him from interfering in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.

“[I wouldn’t have Austin take Rock out but I’d have them fight to the back.] Just fight each other to the back. I’ll take just the music, just hear the glass hitting, I will lose my mind,”he said. [35:41 – 35:49]

Matt Morgan’s Bold Prediction for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania

At WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes attempted to defeat The Tribal Chief and claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns. Despite his efforts, he was unable to dethrone Reigns.

During the same episode of Gigantic Pop, Morgan asserted that The American Nightmare must accomplish his objective and conclude his narrative at this year’s Grandest Stage of Them All.

“[Do you think Cody should win the title?] Abso-flipping-lutely. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I will be irate if he doesn’t. I’ll be heartbroken if he doesn’t,”he said. [18:26 – 18:32]

Despite Rhodes’ determination to win the WrestleMania title, The Rock made a commitment to use all of his resources to prevent The American Nightmare from taking down his cousin. The Final Boss also made it clear to the winner of the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble that this would be his final opportunity to challenge Reigns for the championship.
