“But Diddy didn’t wanna take the deal ’cause of all the drama”- Tony Yayo Reflects on Diddy Rejecting a Deal with 50 Cent

50 Cent and Diddy have a long-standing feud that dates back to 2006, following the release of 50 Cent’s track, The Bomb. In the song, 50 Cent accused the I Need A Girl rapper of being aware of who was responsible for The Notorious B.I.G.’s murder in 1997.

Since the release of that track, the animosity between the two rappers has continued, evidenced by Diddy’s comments labeling 50 Cent as “hating a** crap”after he became Rick Ross’ manager in 2009.

In the video shared by 50 Cent, Tony Yayo addresses the ongoing feud between his friend and the Coming Home rapper. He recounted a meeting in 2022 where 50 Cent almost signed a deal with Diddy:

“We had a meeting with Diddy; it was me and 50 there. He took the meeting out of respect. He had deals all over the table. I wasn’t saying he was gonna take the deal, he might have, he might have not. But Diddy didn’t wanna take the deal ’cause of all the drama, but 50 was the hottest n*gga on the planet.”

Tony Yayo reflected on how the meeting traced back to 1990 when 50 Cent released his infamous track How To Rob, where he mentioned robbing Diddy and issued threats to other rappers as well.

Yayo additionally noted that the Finna Get Loose rapper chose not to sign with 50 Cent due to the surrounding drama at that time.

In the video, Tony Yayo asserted that he has never participated in Diddy’s parties or Jay-Z’s brunches, but while acknowledging their allure, he emphasized his loyalty to 50 Cent, who frequently found himself in conflicts with others.

In other developments, Netflix is set to produce a docuseries focusing on 50 Cent, which will delve into the serious allegations he faces, including racketeering, sexual assault, violent abuse, and sex trafficking. However, further details about the project remain undisclosed.
