5 WWE stars who could appear at WrestleMania XL despite not having a match – Title contender, faction member, and more
The highly anticipated WWE WrestleMania 40 is quickly approaching. Fans are currently in the midst of WrestleMania week, which offers a variety of exciting programs and specials such as the premiere of Speed, the WrestleMania Kickoff show, various Countdown specials, and the highly anticipated NXT Stand & Deliver event.
The highly anticipated event, The Show of Shows, is scheduled for April 6 and 7. The first night will feature a headline match between The Rock and Roman Reigns facing off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. On the second night, fans can witness The American Nightmare challenging The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
Additionally, a multitude of other celebrities have been confirmed to appear at the highly anticipated event. These names include Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, IYO WeY, Bayley, Gunther, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Randy Orton, among many others. Regrettably, there are some performers who have not been scheduled to participate in the show.
Although not all of the stars have been confirmed for matches, there is a possibility that they may be added to the show or make an appearance in some capacity. In this article, we will discuss five performers who are not officially scheduled for matches but are expected to make an appearance at The Showcase of The Immortals.
Despite not having a scheduled match, there are five WWE Superstars who could potentially make an appearance at WrestleMania XL.
#5. Potential Triple Appearance for JD McDonagh at Ringside
The Judgment Day remains as one of the most influential factions in WWE. The group presently consists of five active members, comprising of Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.
Many members of the notorious faction are set to compete at WrestleMania XL. Rhea Ripley will put her Women’s World Championship on the line against Becky Lynch. Finn and Damian will also be defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title in a Six-Pack Ladder Match. Additionally, Dominik Mysterio will team up with Santos Escobar for a tag-team match.
Despite not having a match, The Irish Ace could still potentially have the most screen time out of all his stablemates. He is the only member of the group who does not have a scheduled match, but he could still be present at the ring to support his fellow wrestlers in up to three matches. Depending on how many matches he chooses to attend, McDonagh may have the most screen time of them all.
#4. Potential Involvement of Chad Gable in the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Despite the high level of competition in WWE, Chad Gable stands out as one of the top wrestlers. His skills in the ring are unmatched, as seen during his time as a RAW Tag Team Champion. Additionally, Gable brings a unique blend of charisma and character to his performances.
Despite the hopes and expectations of many WWE fans, the Olympian did not make an appearance on the WrestleMania 40 card. The audience was anticipating his victory in the Gauntlet Match on RAW, which would have earned him a shot at Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship. However, Sami Zayn emerged as the victor, leaving the Alpha Academy member disappointed.
Despite not being officially scheduled for the event, there is still a possibility for Chad to make an appearance at The Grandest Stage of Them All this weekend. As of late, the former champion has been acting as a mentor to Sami Zayn, who is set to face The Ring General at ‘Mania. It is possible that Gable could be seen at ringside, providing support for Zayn during his IC Title match. There is also the potential for Gable to turn on his former ally from The Bloodline and help Gunther retain the championship at a strategic moment.
#2. The Bloodline’s Reign Continues with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman by their Side
Solo Sikoa continues to strike fear in his opponents as one of the most formidable performers in WWE. This was proven last year when the Samoan wrestler defeated John Cena in a clean match at a highly anticipated Premium Live Event.
Despite not being slated to compete at WrestleMania 40, The Enforcer of The Bloodline still has the potential to have a significant impact on both nights. During the tag team match between The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins, Sikoa could make his presence known and assist The Rock and Roman Reigns in securing a victory.
The triumph would ensure that the upcoming Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between The Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare would be conducted with the “Bloodline Rules,”which would ensure that Solo would interfere at some point.
In the meantime, Paul Heyman has an eventful weekend ahead. The renowned WWE manager will be honored with an induction into the Hall of Fame on Friday.
Despite The Bloodline’s history of supporting Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns, it is highly likely that they will be present at ringside for one or more matches. The real uncertainty lies in whether or not John Cena will make a comeback to confront Solo if he interferes in any of Roman Reigns’ matches.
#1. Liv Morgan deserves a WrestleMania moment
Liv Morgan has achieved success as a WWE performer, beginning her main roster career as a member of The Riott Squad. After branching out on her own, she went on to win both the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the Women’s Tag Team Title.
Despite many hoping for her inclusion on the WrestleMania card, The Miracle Kid’s interactions with Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley for weeks did not secure her a spot on the lineup, at least not yet. Liv remains excluded from the lineup for now.
It is possible that this situation may shift in the near future. Currently, WrestleMania Sunday only features one women’s match, which many consider to be unfair to the talented female wrestlers. As a result, Liv may have a chance to compete against Nia Jax, with whom she has had ongoing conflicts on WWE programming.
