Thunder Lotus Games Expands Gameplay in 33 Immortals with Major Update
This year marked Thunder Lotus Games’ foray into multiplayer gaming with the cooperative action title, 33 Immortals. Since its early access launch, the game has seen multiple updates, culminating in its latest and most significant expansion, aptly named Pride and Temperance.
Exciting New Weapons
The latest update introduces two formidable weapons that players can wield as they navigate the challenging environments of hell. These include:
- Crossbows of Pride: Dual-handed ranged weapons that allow players to mark enemies and unleash rapid-fire assaults, delivering considerable damage without the ability to pierce through foes, distinguishing them from traditional bows.
- Glaive of Temperance: A melee weapon designed for sweeping attacks against multiple targets, though it comes with the drawback of slower strike speeds.
Revamped Gameplay Mechanics
In addition to the new weapons, the update introduces a groundbreaking Ordeals system. This feature empowers players to customize their gaming experience by adjusting difficulty modifiers that can be incrementally stacked as they vanquish bosses, leading to exhilarating and rewarding gameplay challenges.
Furthermore, players can look forward to fresh chamber objectives. These new mission rooms require teamwork to destroy specific effigies and defend areas long enough to secure their seals, enhancing cooperative gameplay.
Developer Insights
Stephan Logier, Creative Director at Thunder Lotus, shared insights on the update: “With this update, our goal was to push the boundaries of what players can experience in 33 Immortals. We wanted to give fans the feature they were the most eager to see in the game: two new weapons, as those will add a lot of hours to the game and depth in the gameplay. They will also get new challenges if they dare to embrace them, new cosmetics, and even more ways to dive into the chaos.”
Availability
The 33 Immortals: Pride and Temperance Update is now live and accessible to players on various platforms, including PC (Epic Games Store, Xbox App on PC), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and cloud. As the development of 33 Immortals progresses in early access, Thunder Lotus is also busy planning its next single-player adventure titled At Fate’s End, scheduled for release in 2026.
