An Emerging Roster for the Young Avengers
A Wealth of Heroes Await

Throughout the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, numerous youthful heroes have emerged as potential candidates for the Young Avengers. In addition to Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye (whom Kamala first approached in The Marvels’ post-credits scene), characters like Cassie Lang as Stature, Riri Williams as Ironheart, Kid Loki, America Chavez, Skaar (Hulk’s son), and Eli Bradley have appeared. Recently, Billy Maximoff’s Wiccan made his debut in Agatha All Along, alongside hints of his sibling, Tommy, known as Speed.
Discussions between Kamala and Kate Bishop in The Marvels’ post-credits scene hinted at Cassie Lang’s potential recruitment. Moreover, a recent promotional video featured Cassie, Riri, and America as part of the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish and its Worlds of Marvel showcase. However, the complete roster of Young Avengers within the MCU remains under wraps. Marvel Studios clearly prioritizes the introduction of this new superhero generation, suggesting fans can expect more developments soon.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has added three intriguing characters who hold the potential to enhance the Young Avengers roster. Although currently established only in this alternate MCU timeline, there is no indication they couldn’t coexist within the broader MCU, especially if audiences respond positively to Peter’s fellow interns. Below is a closer look at these new characters from the animated series and their superhero legacies.
Jeanne Foucault – Finesse

In the comic universe, Jeanne Foucault, also known as Finesse, possesses the extraordinary ability to master any skill almost instantaneously. She was recruited to the Avengers Academy, where her connections to Norman Osborn were explored during the Siege event. While her father in the comics is believed to be Taskmaster, this relationship may not hold in the MCU, given the changes to Taskmaster’s character. Regardless, Finesse could serve as a compelling, Black Widow-esque addition to the Young Avengers.
Amadeus Cho – Brawn

Amadeus Cho is characterized by his exceptional intelligence and self-assured nature. As he befriends Bruce Banner, he ultimately transitions into a new incarnation of the Hulk, known as Brawn. Cho’s journey takes him to the Champions, a youthful superhero team, underscoring his connections to Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales. Notably, Amadeus’ mother, Helen, is already established within the MCU, having appeared in Age of Ultron.
Asha – Wakandan Warrior

Joining the intern team at Oscorp is Asha, a talented warrior from Wakanda assigned to the aerospace division. In the comics, she is endowed with various light-based powers and was selected for the Wakandan School for Alternative Studies. Asha also played a crucial role in defending Earth during Thanos’ invasion in Infinity: The Hunt. This background hints at her potential as a formidable ally for the Young Avengers.
A Desire for More from YFNS’ New Heroes
Exciting Heroes, Regardless of Their Teams

In the comics, Finesse wrestles with the characterization as a potential villain, adding depth to her character that could be compelling in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Furthermore, Amadeus may delve into gamma radiation experiments, drawing parallels to Bruce Banner’s origin story. In addition, Asha might find herself on a covert mission for Wakanda, enhancing the narrative intrigue.
Regardless of whether they become official members of the Young Avengers, these three characters are poised to captivate audiences with their unique qualities. As Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man progresses, it will be thrilling to witness how these characters develop and possibly integrate into the broader MCU.
