
Square Enix Expands Final Fantasy IX Music Box Collection
In an exciting announcement, Square Enix revealed that its music box collection dedicated to the iconic Final Fantasy IX will expand in October 2025. This addition celebrates the 25th anniversary of this beloved installment in the franchise, with three new tracks being included.
New Additions to the Collection
The upcoming tracks, priced at 2, 750円 (approximately $19), feature:
- “Not Alone” – A track that resonates with the game’s characters, reflecting their unwavering support for Zidane.
- “A Place to Call Home” – Frequently heard throughout the game, showcasing the title logo and track name prominently at the top.
- “Roses of May” – The theme associated with Beatrix, prominently displayed on her music box.
Currently, these music boxes are exclusively listed on the Square Enix e-Store. However, past releases can still be found on Square Enix’s Online Store and Amazon.

Importantly, this is not the first music box release from Final Fantasy IX. The music box titled “Melodies of Life, ” which features the game’s main theme, is already available for purchase globally, typically ranging from $22 to $30 depending on the retailer.
