28-year-old star promises to “break” Ilja Dragunov in upcoming title match

Ilja Dragunov was promised by a well-known rising star that he would defeat him in their upcoming title match.

Despite facing many challenges, Tony D’Angelo has made significant progress in the past year. His growth and success have propelled him to become one of the most beloved stars on NXT. Additionally, he has achieved numerous accomplishments in the past year. Nevertheless, his toughest career challenge awaits him at NXT Stand & Deliver.

A few weeks ago, Tony D’Angelo emerged victorious over Carmelo Hayes and earned the right to challenge for the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver. In light of their upcoming title bout, Tony extended an invitation to Dragunov for a dinner, which the latter graciously accepted.

During tonight’s episode of NXT, Dragunov was escorted to a warehouse where he met with Tony. While he acknowledged Tony’s attempts to get into his head, Ilja Dragunov confidently declared that nothing could prevent him from successfully defending his title at Stand & Deliver.

After grabbing Dragunov’s injured arm, Tony D’Angelo boasted that he could have defeated him at any moment, but he chose to wait until Stand & Deliver. He then declared his intention to break the unbreakable and the Don instructed Ilja to savor his final meal before leaving.

It will be intriguing to find out if Tony D’Angelo will be the one to ultimately break Ilja Dragunov’s dominant title reign.
