On October 22, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the 2025 Grammy Awards ballot features an impressive lineup of artists, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Dolly Parton, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande, among others.
The publication also shed light on the K-pop artists making waves on the 2025 Grammy Awards ballot. Noteworthy names include BTS’ Jungkook and RM, the boy band Stray Kids, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa. These artists have all ventured into solo projects and are competing for significant accolades such as Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Music Video.
Stray Kids have submitted their fresh release, “Chk Chk Boom,”for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category and have also entered two songs, “LALALALA”and “Chk Chk Boom,”for Song Of The Year, among other nominations.
BTS member Jungkook is set to release his debut solo album, “GOLDEN,”with the lead single “Standing Next to You”on November 3, 2023, shortly before his military service begins. Meanwhile, RM will unveil his second studio album, titled “Right Place, Wrong Person,”featuring the track “LOST!”on May 24, 2024. This album was prepared ahead of his enlistment and became available for streaming once his service had started.
In addition, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is making a much-anticipated solo return after three years with her single “ROCKSTAR,”which will be out on June 27, 2024. She has also teamed up with Rosalía on the track “New Woman,”set to drop on August 14. Stray Kids recently released their album “ROCK-STAR”featuring the title track “LALALALA”on November 10, 2024, and made their comeback earlier that year with “ATE,”which includes “Chk Chk Boom”released on July 19. It’s important to note that music releases between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024, are eligible for consideration in the nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy will announce the official nominees on November 8, 2025, with the Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled to occur at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025.
